Everybody is a genius at something…
If you were asked if you have ever seen yourself as an author, mentor or, teacher, you’d probably say no. You may doubt you have any worthwhile knowledge or experience to share. This is a common misconception that holds many people back from building and selling digital courses and other educational products.
Continuing on with our theme this month on taking back control of your life and working when and where you want, today, we’re going
to be talking about earning a living sharing your knowledge.
In the age of the internet and information, people have embraced learning. And whilst you may feel you’re not an expert in anything or have any knowledge that is useful to anybody, the truth is very much the opposite.
You will have faced & overcome challenges, obstacles and, other difficulties that people face every day. You will have achieved things others can only dream of. You have a life that countless people crave for. You have a lot to offer people who will be willing to pay you for the privilege.
Many educational products, such as online courses, books, audios, etc. are great ways of earning a passive income and taking back control of your life. Sure, at the beginning, you will have to put the work in to create the content. But once that course has been recorded, once that book has been written, you’ve done the hard work. Now you can automate the marketing & sales of your products and continually earn, whilst you embrace your life.
To make this a reality, you need to do two things:
Firstly, decide what you want to build a course and other educational tools around. To help you with this, ask yourself some questions. What do you enjoy doing for fun? What activities make you smile? What are you drawn to? What topics are you a genius about?
Secondly, go out and find other educators and authors of educational content on topics similar to the topics you have chosen and learn how they have done it. Once you learn how to structure a course, you’ll find yourself building one in no time. That is because what you’re teaching is second nature to you. Nobody other than you knows it better.
When I decided to put together the Course Finding Your Voice, I basically used exactly what worked for me and made the MOST impact. I put that together in a course with everything I used to bring me to where I am now so my transformation would help others going through the same things I did. This can now benefit many others wanting to transition into a more heart based lifestyle and away from a JOB and get me 1 step closer to my Laptop Lifestyle. You can do this as well.
Throughout my entire creative process, I used essential oil and crystal combinations that assisted me in the process. Essential oils such as Frankincense, Valor will ground you and bring confidence with what you are a genius at and oils such as Inspiration & ClarIty brought their namesake and made it possible to put all the pieces together in a creative fun way so that other will benefit more. I found that Crystals like Citrine brought inspiration and self improvement, Jade manifests prosperity and Aventurine is great when you need some luck and invite wealth and abundance into your life. These oil & rock combinations can enhance more creativity and allow you to gain more clarity on what you’d want to teach people in your courses.
