Being You Is Always Best

Being You Is Always Best

I have a question. Have you found that at times you are searching and following what other people are doing? You can’t quite figure out something, so you watch, you see what others do and follow along. First you were learning something, then you realize that you’re actually imitating what they do, not just learning the process, but copying everything.  I realized that I was doing that. Curious, if that’s happen to be you as well?

It’s kind of interesting. I’ve been doing lots of social media marketing and learning many different ways that people do it. It’s truly fascinating.  I end up working at my business like nonstop, early in the morning till late at night. Now, I do it because I love it. I do it because I know there is an end in sight and I can do it from home, from anywhere. I catch myself in the office frequently working, but find that I am not seeing the mass progress that the people I have been learning from and “following” are having.  I have to be honest with you. It’s not always fun nor am I doing other things that I find joyful, activities that actually can be involved in my business as well. I have struggled with knowing how to give value, what to post and even what to do. I have always felt like there has been something missing in my process.

I realized something and I’m going to share it with you.

Funny enough, it was on Valentine’s Day and I just wasn’t having a good day. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong that day, but I knew I was off, my energy, my mood, how I felt, everything.  I was having an off day. I was in this huge, massive ramp up with this fantastic mentor and was on week 4 of a 6 week program. I was right in it, upping my game and stepping outside my boundaries. This was extremely positive, but I was overdoing it and not allowing any time for anything else. So, I had a meltdown.

A couple of friends came over and really supported me through the meltdown. Then, I called another friend and business partner and explained how I was feeling.

Have you ever felt like you were banging your head against the wall and nothing was working, something was missing? You’re not making progress and you cannot figure out why? You just don’t know what the direction you’re supposed to go in is?

What Olivia said was priceless and until that moment, I didn’t realize I wasn’t doing, wasn’t be it. This was exactly why I was struggling with the whole process and certainly wasn’t having fun along the way! I had these ideas for these really cool events. You see, I live at the beach and was inspired to do these aroma therapy by the beach events and others, but hadn’t done it.

So what Olivia said was “you’re following what other people are doing, you need to follow you. You need to be you! When you are you, you’re going to post really cool things for you and for people that resonate with that. I realized that I was not doing that. I was watching what everybody else was doing. How do I do it the right way? Then I realized something, it’s not right or wrong. It just is and if I’m doing it, if I’m being me, if I’m truly being me, then it’s right. How do I know that? Because I’m doing it!

When you’re 100% you and completely authentic in that, you know what’s right, you know what you want to do and you know what makes your heart sing.  All these other things weren’t me, I couldn’t figure it out! I certainly wasn’t having fun online or posting things I liked.

Then all of a sudden, guess what? When this realization came to me, amazing posts, awesome ideas, fun things just started flowing in my mind and I went, “Oh, that’ll be fun.” The whole issue shifted and I realized I don’t have to do what somebody else does. I don’t have to do it a certain way. Cause if I’m doing it for me, that is the right way. It’s also right for the people that want to see what I’m doing and what you do!  This brings actual value to others, uplifts others!

You be you! When you’re so grounded in that, having fun and doing things that are exciting to you, people are intrigued, so much more interested and this inspires others. It’s way more interesting and so much more helpful. There’s so much more passion and heart in it. So for me, it’s motorcycles, it’s cello, it’s painting and art, it’s essential oils and doggies at the beach. It’s Italy!  It’s ME! It’s me, living balanced, grounded, in love with me, in my heart space and having fun.

There’s tips, lessons and things that we can all take from each other, that help us move along on our own path. However, we do need to be us 100% of the time.

The best tip I can ever give you is to sit and just take a deep breath and have a pen and paper nearby. Start writing down what do you love to do? What interests you, what sets your soul on fire? What really vibrates so highly, you can’t wait to do it? What are those things? That’s you authentically. You can truly give value and come from the heart space then.  I just wanted to share that with you. So, the best thing that you can always be is YOU!

You got you. Let’s make our day, every single day fun. When we wake up with inspiration and creativity in our minds and in our bodies, step forward into that space. This truly is where we’re supposed to be. It’s much more valuable than copying what someone else is doing. Take the skills learned, the lessons, use the education to figure out what works for you and Be Yourself. When you take the skills that someone else taught you and use it to do your own thing, your own way, you will find success and you WILL enjoy the journey!   I hope that gives you an AHA 😉

Go out and create something magnificent…

Step Into Purpose, Live Outside The Lines

Living La Vida Italiana

Living La Vida Italiana

I realized that nothing you “want” will happen without setting the intent, giving your dream/plan a time frame for completion, moving towards it with little steps daily and remembering to allow for Source to guide the way! Relinquish control of how, just know it will happen!

I had a friend a couple years ago tell me that I “shouldn’t” (BTW, never SHOULD on yourself) set a time for when I was going.  Unfortunately, I listened to someone else besides me and it’s now 2019 and my desired 4 month min trip to live in Italy still hasn’t happened.  I learned my lesson. Listen ONLY to myself!

I have since set a date and time frame for this to happen with flexibility, of course, because I realize I truly am not in control. I set the intent, approximate timeframe and trusting Source to line everything up with ease.

With that said, I am going to Italy to end of September first of October to live for 4ish months. YES!!!

I have been reading and implementing the helpful steps from the 4-Hour Workweek and Dreamlining and can see this coming to fruition. It’s a little scary because for the first time, I can see it materializing.  Every day, I take little steps and move forward. I am learning just how easy it is to plan a 4 month-ish trip to live and grow my business in Italy and take my dog Tulli with me!

I am excited to document the process and hiccups along the way. Perhaps, it will inspire big dreams and goals for you! J

Let’s Do This!

A Facebook LIVE Started it All… And Tulli & I win!

A Facebook LIVE Started it All… And Tulli & I win!

I listened to a friend’s Facebook live the other day and it was a meditation on asking what your 4 bodies need. I asked what my emotional body needed and I saw in my mind’s eye, the Wetlands nearby. So that is where I went and that is what prompted this doggie fun post! If you are in LA, then you must check out these cool places with your fur baby.  Mine was SO EXCITED!!

I finally found a great hiking spot for Tulli and I that is nearby since I moved to the beach. Yes, I know it has taken 5 years, but hey! I found it! 😉 So it got me to thinking and I thought I would share my favorite places of fun times for you and your pup in the LA/OC area!

  1. Bolsa Chica Wetlands Brightwater Trailhead https://tinyurl.com/yy7ssc4y

Sunday was the first day, but I can see already that this area and specifically here (where dogs are welcome as other entrances are not) will keep both you and your pup entertained and exercised for a short walk to a strenuous hike with many trails to explore.

  1. The Tree People https://tinyurl.com/yyo4pqr6 & https://www.treepeople.org/

I enter off Coldwater Canyon. There are so many hiking trails to choose from. Some you will find no one around, perfect if your pup is good off leash and others that are well travels and easier. Either way, so much fun.

  1. Dixie Canyon Park in the Santa Monica Mountains –https://tinyurl.com/y3ywucx3

This is a really cool spot and you will not see many people. It’s at the end of a residential area that has a natural spring at the base. I always grab some fresh water before and after our hike. There are many different trails all through here depending on how much time you have. It’s so much fun! Tulli is typically free to roam around without leash here and she loves it!

  1. Zoom Room https://zoomroom.com/

Tulli & I just love this place. If you are looking for some indoor 1 on 1 fun with your pup, this is the best place. I have taken Tulli here and I would book some time and her and I would just run around and go through tunnels, jump over things and scale narrow boards. We both would leave thoroughly in bliss and pooped! Find one near you. There are Groupons for your first time. Totally worth it!

  1. Terranea & the nearby Tide pools https://www.terranea.com/

This is such a great experience! It is the most dog friendly place. Dogs are allowed everywhere. I get dressed up, bring my computer and just got there to walk around with Tulli, have lunch and do some work on the computer is a truly breathtaking place. After a few hours, we will go south on Palos Verdes Dr. S and stop at the tide pools. We park at Shoreline Park and there are tons of trails all through here, but directly down to the beach is where you will find the tide pools. I was told there were no dogs on the beach, but we were there for over an hour just relaxing before someone came and mentioned it and then didn’t push the issue for another hour or so. So you should be good!

Ok, that’s my Fun Filled Fur Friendly spots! Enjoy! Please share with your furry friends if you found value!
